Residential Building Science 101
How do heating and cooling systems work in your home? How can you improve your home's energy performance? What factors contribute to poor indoor air quality, and how can they be addressed? What insulation and weatherization techniques are most effective? What should be done by a professional versus what you can do yourself? This workshop will address all these questions, as well as the basics of how air flow and heat transfer affect the home. Learn about the systems and factors that underpin the comfort and safety of your home, and what you can do to address them through home improvements and effective design interventions.
